I know she was coming out of her room, but I thought we were planning to get her into some trouble in the tavern. She makes so much noise getting out of it, Rongar wakes up and gets upset because he's woken up. He bumps into her coming out of his room, and finds her in trouble...??

This was an idea I had when we found out what the bracelets really meant with a bit of inspiration from LadyBlueMist years ago....
Those who wear the bracelets are meant to be leaders of mankind. To lead them into a new age of peace and prosperity.
Sinbad and Bryn's bracelets begin to glow. After a few days of this, they start to feel a power draw them somewhere. They follow their instincts and it leads them to an uncharted island that no one has seen or heard of before. Once there they find 10 other ships.
Once landed the crew comes across hundreds of people.
A woman sees the bracelets, which were now dormant once more, comes up to them and says, "Follow me Lord and lady, I shall take you to the others."
The crew went to follow, but she paused and said, "No, not all of you, just the 2 with the bracelets."
Sinbad turned to the others and said, "we'll be right back. Make camp and try to see what's happening here."
"I don't like this little brother..."
"I know Doubar, but the bracelets lead us here for a reason."
Sinbad and Bryn followed the poorly dressed girl into a large tent. There were 20 other people there. Two guards and 18 others each wearing a rainbow bracelet like theirs.
"Sinbad!" cried a voice. They turned and Sinbad exclaimed, "Tetsu! My friend! What is going on here?"
Tetsu greeted them happily and said, "Sinbad, we are the greatest leaders of our generation. The bracelets were given to us by powerful people who wish nothing but good fortune for us, but we must fight to get our peace."
Bryn tilted her head and asked, "What do you mean?"
Tetsu shook his head and said, "Come, meet the others, we will ALL be learning more as we go along."
***Other bracelet holders
Sinbad Ali Asad (m) Bryn Amal Afra (f) Abdullah Bashshar Basil (m) Chamis Diyaa (f) Tetsu Himizu(m) Xain Pu Li(f) Sakura Minaze(f) Mushu Chaochen (m) Freida Thorgirdottir(f) Thor Gregrson(m) Halldor Sorillson (m) Sigrid Fallidordottir (f) Brennus Caderyn(m) Denzel Eogan (m) Genevieve Feidlimid (f) Morgan Viviane (f) Agape Agathe (f) Alexandros Cleisthenes (m) Corinna Demetria (f) Draco Euclid (m)
Each one has a rainbow bracelet.
The first ones to arrive were the Greek group and with them the knowledge that there were twenty others who were their exact opposite out there for them to be partnered with.

Another idea from my past....
This is from before we found out about Bryn being Rumina's sister and Turok's most favored daughter....
Bryn was walking through a town that the crew had stopped at. She had a deep feeling that she had been their before, but couldn't remember how or why.
As she walked through, a young girl bumped into her and said sorry. They girl looked up and gasped, and said "Bryn!"
Bryn looked at her and asked puzzled, "Do I know you?"
The girl looked at her in shock and said, "Don't you rememeber your student and little sister Bryn?"
After that I never got much farther because we found out about who Bryn really was....

Yea, I like how you also mentioned the others lost there, and how they had given up o ever being able to leave. It gives the place a more humanistic reality despite being sent their through magic.

It's very possible! Logical too, in a way, by this, I mean, older people back then died all the time due to old age, sickness, ect....most people wouldn't have thought twice about it. It was the quickness of the deaths that made things questionable.

On the subject of ship size, the Nomad looks to be an Arabian/Indian Dhow. There is no real archeological remains to get a real life dimensions, what is known are from Roman, Indian, Arabian writings and observations of such things. As far as I can tell. The biggest, as I might assume the Nomad is, holds about 30 people max. The smallest ship can be manned by 12. DhowBut they were made for shallow trips through the 7 Great Seas or hugging the coastlines. As such, these are short trips and most sailors slept in one large room with hammocks. The Captain and First Officer usually only had rooms. There was always one open for a wealthy guest (Maeve's/Bryn's room?). In any case, I think the Nomad, for real life measurements was bigger than the dhow, but smaller than the Galley ships. In this instance, the Galley ship is also a good contender for the Nomad. The Galley can hold as few as 30 and up to 100 max, as a Nomad example. The larger Galley can hold much more. As such, a Galley sized Nomad could potentially have rooms for ALL the main crew, Sinbad, Doubar, Maeve, Bryn, Firouz, and Rongar, and still have plenty of space for guests AND a large dormitory-like situation for the rest of the crew. ancient ships

A fic focusing on Rongar, this I like! He and Firouz are not really '3d'; meaning, their histories aren't really fleshed out. Rongar's becomes more 3d in Season 2, and some of Firouz' is fleshed out just a bit with him interacting with Velda. Maeve's wasn't really fleshed out either, but we had the back story of her and Dermott. If she had stayed Season 2 would have made her more even with Sinbad (by the backstory, I mean), but that didn't happen.
On the same note, Sinbad isn't as fleshed out as he could have been as the star. But we sure knew a heck of a lot more about him and Doubar than the others! LOL

Maeve being a demigoddess isn't exactly a NEW idea, but it wasn't very well explored. I recall maybe 3 other fictions that had her as a daughter of Aphrodite though.

This is a really old idea I and another author had like 10 years ago that never made it...
Since the show introduced the Greek Gods with Poseidon, how about Maeve's true mother being Hecate?
Background for this....the Siren's Song, after the adventure...
Maeve was sitting in her room, when Sinbad knocked and asked to come in.
She allowed it.
She asked him what he needed.
Hesitant, but needing to know, he asked why Poseidon seemed to know her and why she seemed to know him.
She watches him for a minute, and just as he was getting ready to dismiss it and leave, she opened her mouth and said, "It looked that way because I do know him and he knows me. In fact, he wished me to be his mistress for a time a few years ago."
He spun around and stared with his jaw hanging open.
She smirked and said, "What, did you think I was that innocent? You did compliment me when you stated you had, had better kisses before." And proceeds to tell him of her youth.
As a young lass of 13, she was told of her parentage and as all young demigods do, she goes to Greece and is trained by Chiron to be a hero. After five years of training, she goes on a quest with two other demigods, a child of Poseidon and a child of Apollo. The quest isn't really important, but it was on this quest where she ran into Poseidon and caught his attention because she was beautiful, spirited, and full of life, and during this quest she angered Zeus.
It was during this time, that Rumina arrived and started destroying her village. As a hero, she went to fight her, but Rumina was more skilled and had quicker skills. Persian magic is faster than Greek, you see. She managed to harm Rumina pretty severely though causing Rumina to cast a animal transformation spell, and Dermott got in the way. As Rumina escaped to heal, Maeve tried and tried and prayed to her mother. Only for her to inform her daughter that Rumina's spell had a God enforcing it and she could not remove it. Only she would be able too.
Poseidon offered to protect her from his brother in return for 'courting' her. She was flattered, but told him what her mother had told her about Zeus' curse and the requirements. He understood. She left her home and found Dim-Dim a year later. 14 months later, Sinbad and crew showed up.

Well, I was going with the idea that Sinbad and Doubar were his wards/students growing up. We don't know exactly when Maeve became his student, but from past discussions most people thought she had been there for at least 3-5 years. Since she wasn't a natural born like Rumina/Bryn, it took a long time for her to touch and harness her powers of fire. We know Sinbad and Doubar were there with DimDim for years, but they were in Baghdad. Firouz seems to be acquainted with him at least, if not a student of some kind, and he was Prince Casib's tutor too. Very recently too due to their reunion. If he had so many over the years, most of whom we see are only men, there had to be more ladies somewhere.
And yes, analyzing DimDim's character would be a interesting fiction, believe me. Plus, when you add in his wife who lives in Basra, where the picked up Firouz in the beginning. Plus, any of HER students....
