Sinbad needs to get back in line. Especially in this episode, he acted rather foolishly sometimes. I thought the episode was a little comical. This is like the other end of the extremes. Here the season already reached the point of no return

Awww. Come on, Dermott. There were better episodes after this episode, such as Hell House. And looking back at it, you could just laugh at how ridiculous and foolish this episode was. I wonder how many people watched the whole episode. You could already tell this would be an extremely weird episode from the beginning, when the space ship appears. And did you see Bryn? She was like, "What do I do? What do I do?" *chuckles*

A very bad episode. I am a big fan of sci-fi, but it is not a suitable thing for this kind of TV series.
The character of the local priest was totally predictable, I was waiting for his death whole time.
Doubar acted a little foolishly, did not he? I know that Firouz is a close friend, but he was missing for some time and he behaved like a robot, not like a human being. And without some explanations or discussions with him Doubar followed him to an unknown place. After this situation I expected that Rongar will be more careful, but he made the same mistake.
The one positive thing of this episode: It was interesting to hear Rongar's voice.

I couldn't agree more with you! This was the worst ep of the whole Season, maybe even the whole show! I, too, am a very big sci-fi fan but it just doesn't go together with this show. And it was ridiculous indeed how Doubar trusted this Firouz who obviously wasn't himself. Pft. Good point about hearing Rongar's voice though - that's the only thing that I, too, liked about that ep.

The same thing was done with Rongar, it was even worse. Sinbad warned him and he followed them without troubles.
A very ridiculous scene was the scene with the light, which tried to kill Sinbad. I was laughing for a long time.

Gah, true that - Rongar's 'abduction' was even worse. With both Doubar and Firouz acting so totally and blatantly OOC I still don't understand how he could have just followed them.
Oh, and the deadly laser light. Yeah, well... what can I say? x.x At least it wasn't as ridiculous as the fearsome toilet paper that was introduced in "Return of the Ronin" if I am not mistaken. xD

Yes, it was worse. The devil who used this spell against Sinbad and Tetsu was decribed as a very powerful demon. It is a suprising fact that he used such strange magic.

Well, maybe we can assume he wanted to be creative? <.< .... >.>

Pft. Good point about hearing Rongar's voice though - that's the only thing that I, too, liked about that ep. I found one next good point of this episode and it was the character of Jefscut for me. He was a brave man who has the courage to face the group of fanatics and he reminded me the character of Firouz from the first season a little, his faith that the science will rule above the magic one day.

That Jefscut... oh, was he the one who "locked" the crew up to keep them safe? Yeah, he was a lovely character indeed.

Did he have the different possibility? They were already there, people wanted their death and he was alone against the whole village of fanatics and he probably hoped that he finds a way how persuade the others, he did not lock them in the cell, he gave his trust to them, if they tried to escape, the rest of people probably would blame him from the cooperation with them and kill him as well (if i remember it correctly). The better question is why the crew did not leave the island after the attack on the beach and they went to the village. It did not look that they need help with some damages when these people had time to attack the unknown people on the beach.

And i found the next strange thing when i made the subtitle for this episode which i never realized. How it was possible that nobody from the rest of the crew did not notice that Doubar did not return from the beach with them? Or they did not care about him?
