Unforunately, she can't access DL this way but I told her on facebook which numbers were still open for grabs and she picked number 11. Thus, I will lock 11 for Serendib.  |

Haha, it is only fitting that our captain has number 1! BTW Doubs, how long are you going to wait for everyone pick a number? Personally I can't work on the gift the coming week anyway so it doesn't matter, but a lot of people are in a bit of a time-crunch so the sooner they know the better.I would suggest that you assign a number to those who haven't chosen a number by monday evening (your time). That way you also have some lee-way to sort out those who have chosen their own number. If you need any assistance with the admin of all this, just let me know, I'll be happy to help. I can always use some inventive new ways to SOG (=studie ontwijkend gedrag = study avoidant behaviour)  |

So it's number 9 for Dermy and number 1 for our Captain. I'm sorry I can't update the graphic right now, but I managed to spill tea over my laptop. Not much and I unplugged it in time I hope to avoid any damage. Still, right now I have placed my laptop next to the central heating and will wait until tomorrow before using it again. Currently, I'm on my boyfriend's laptop and since I don't have the pictures on that one the picture update has to wait until tomorrow (does that even make sense? I'm watching German TV while writing this so I'm not sure how much this is decent English x). MJ: While I agree with you that waiting much longer isn't helpful, I am strictly against assigning people to a certain number (I know who's who after all, so that would be weird). Of course, I could have you or my boyfriend pick one of the remaining numbers on random, but then it's only Teti and Kalani who have yet to choose and I hope to hear from Teti tonight. That said, I think we can find a compromise on that one: No matter what happens, I will send out the mails tomorrow or on Monday, but let the remaining members still choose on their own. How's that? |

Do you have a lot of rice to use on call, Doubar? You could submerge the laptop in it to remove ANY remaining moisture.

Sadly I didn't have enough rice for that, but placing it near the central heating worked pretty well. The laptop does still start and work well enough, unfortunately the same can't be said about the keyboard.  I suspect some of the tea although not made with sugar still remains between the ciruits as sticky stuff because only keys where the tea was spilled are affected. I will give it some more time until tomorrow but if it still doesn't work then, I think I'll have to have it repaired. (By the way, just in case you wonder: I am currently using my boyfriend's laptop again to write this message.) Anyhow, since I didn't need the keyboard for editing the graphic, I will upload the current version. And tomorrow I will also begin to send out the mails. I know I was hoping to do it today already, but I hope you understand why I had to adjust plans.  |
