@firouz: yeah. But this, as well as the other things we discussed are not setted as long as Maeve and Rumi haven't given their okay with that.

I like the idea of Serendib being Maeve’s apprentice too, but as all of you guys already said, we need Electra's and Maeve's opinion first.
Anyway, we have to consider that Serendib is not a normal child. She had been created by magic by Rumina. As well as the place she lived in, "The Isle of Mists" (was this name right? I don't remember). So, when Rumina lost interest in them both, the island would have disappeared if Serendib hadn't used all her magic to let it stay alive. But in that way she lost all her powers, and she was glad of it. She loved her step- parents, and she didn't mind not being a witch anymore.
So, the first thing we have to make up for is: Why Serendib would want to leave the Isle of Mist knowing that that place will fade away without her? And what about learning witchcraft? Didn’t she hate magic? Why did she change her mind if last time we saw her she decided to leave her powers behind?
There my ideas:
1 When Rumina set up her spell to kill Maeve at the beginning of season 2, and she then weakened for a while, it backfired on Serendib too. (unlike Dermott, who had been just cursed, Serendib’s vital essence was made of Rumina’s powers, thus, somehow the remaining wake of Rumi’s magic somehow attracted and suck Serendib too into the alternate Dimension. Of course now she need to train if she want to be able to control her powers and escape with her friends.
2 Other option. After “The Sacrifice”, Rumina’s spell backfired on the Isle of Mists too, which this time disappears forever. Serendib was able to save herself and her parents just in time, but not having to maintain the island into the real world anymore, she regains her powers fully. Then, She move with her parents to Basra, were shelives now, and she’ll be involved in the upcoming happenings as soon as the crew will arrive there. After the battle between good and evil ( Apocalypse vs Nomad) she’ll make up her mind that magic is not that bad, and decide to study it.

Well to go Dermott, i like your ideas and you made a good point, of course. Both ideas are great ideas, i like the first idea more so. Yet both ideas are great.

Hmmmm. Today's Wednesday, so we should hear from Maeve by tomorrow. Rumina, I'm not sure.

Alright, here's what I think for now...
I'm OK with Serendib being my apprentice BUT I would prefer if it was at a later point in the story. She could meet the crew in Basra at the beginning and when I come back and as the story develops itself, I can take her under my charge. The way I see it, if she's already in the alternate dimension Dim-Dim and I are stuck in from the start (which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why would Serendib be cast in our realm?), I fear too many things will be going on at once...

I agree. I don't think having Serendib in the realm with Maeve very logical. For her to come to Basra? Let me think. Oh, she could be visiting Caipra.

Excellent ideas there, derm! I personally prefer no. 2, it seems the more logical one to me! Right now, for Serendib to be in the alternate realm feels a little bit... um... odd!

Yup, no. 2 sounds more logical. And that would also explain why she is in Basra.

Hum, well to be honest I don't really care which of both version we use ... although I have to admit I as well don't think Serendib being in the unknown realm with Maeve and DimDim to be very logic ... BUT as from how I got it in the show, Serendib had not been created by Rumina. I always thought she was just a powerful child Rumina stole and imprisioned in the city of mist to raise her as her personal heir...

I´d have to rewatch the episode with Serendib *can´t really tell either* *wonders if Rumina knows*

Hey I just reread all the posts that were given in here and I definitely opt for the second idea Dermott gave! It makes perfect sense, Bro!

Awww, thanks Serendib.
So it is pretty much settled, other then getting Rumina's approval. The second idea is what we will use. Everybody in favor say "Aye."
