Hum, yeah, I can see why it was designed that way. However, the reason for forcing this demon of a cleavage onto Taryn I guess was a much more profane one... *.*

Well... Yea, but then again, we all know that S2 was meant for an older more sexually mature audience...

First time i recalled that, but in that ep, Doubar is telling to the people the "Vengeance of Rumina" story. He says something along the line of: "There was a thousand harpies in the air with skeletons soldiers..." And he said that Bryn wasn't there with them... A good season 1 memory!

hannibal, oh, really!! i never notice it -or may i did and i forget!- thing is i never paid so much attention to S2 in that way that i notice all the dialogues and so, not that i'm not interested in it but it's just my interest to S1 is much more than S2, i may focus on Sinbad and Bryn, to see if there had been some feelings between them truely, also i focused on the weird behavior of Sinbad of S2 while for Bryn i was interested to study her as new character involved in the show so i wanted to watch her every expression, reaction and skills.... and as S2 didn't much focus on the crew relationship and moments, i didn't pay attention to it too, just kept the image i took from S1, but as i said i may noticed it before but forget about, in all cases, it's really true that's very nice from them to show the crew memorize some of S1 events even if once, that they still remember and didn't forget totally as the impression they gave us,, Great finding,

It was really great memory, the next memory of Harpies we could have watched in the Gift where we could have met their smaller version also...

Oh, did he really tell the story of "Vengeance of Rumina"? But true, he did tell about hundrets of harpies and skeleton warriors and everything... and now that you mention it... I think I drew that conclusion, too, that it must be that tale then because as far as we know that was the only time they were involved in a battle like this. Aw, it's so nice to see they mentioned it.

It's Doubar! Of course he's going to be telling tales! LOL But you are right, it's nice to see the memory in S2! There was some continuity, not a lot, but some....

But it looked that Doubar added some colors his story a little, he said there there were only five people, but if i remember correctly, there were more people. I did the subtitle for the beginning of this episode today and i found it.

Haha, yeah, he cannot help but polish it up a bit. Make it sound even more impressive though it's already one burner of a story. xD

Why not, when it helps to create the bigger impression, it can not harm anyone.

One of my favorite episodes from this season.
I like the idea with the Gryphon very much, the very well known mythological creature and we got some indications in the first season about its existence and we could have seen it in this episode finally. And despite the fact that it was the mythological creature we could also seen that it is the living critter with feelings protecting its cub.
I really like how was Bryn connected with the mother of the Gryphon and her thinking about her origin again, unsure where she belongs, the comparison of her own life with the lives of the gryphons.
Doubar mentioned the scene where the crew helped the people during the attack of the Gryphon's mother, it was really nice how they tried to protect them, i like the most how Rongar helped this lady, he was the real gentleman again and i noticed that during the encounter with Maleck in the forest the crew also protected the villagers, Doubar protected some older villagers before his whip his own body.
The crew finally saved the day, not only Sinbad alone for this time. Yes, it was Sinbad who killed Maleck but the crew released the cub of Gryphon and it was more important, if the cub was not released, it would not be so much important that Maleck was punished for his stealing of the cub, the mother would probably attacked all people in the close proximity of the cage.
I must say that opinion about the death by Maleck did not lack the logic. Maybe it would be better if he was described only as the hunter who fights with the most dreaded animals in the world in the effort to leave his mark on the earth but he has the respect towards them, he did not want to hurt them in vain. I think that it was not necessary to write him as the cold-blooded killer who is able to kill everyone around him, not only his enemies but his own men as well. If he was only the hunter it could have been more interesting. I do not want to say that i agree with the unnecessary catching and killing animals in the nature, i do not like the hunters who hunt the animal only for the trophies or for pleasure. I got this idea it because it could have created the different type of the bad guy who would not be so black and white and it could have been the interesting change in the comparison with the next bad guys in this tv series.
The reminiscence of the events of the first season also pleasant.
I did not really like the next girl of the week for Sinbad, in this case there was the effort to create some background for this girl of the week and their relationship, but it did not work very much for me.
And one question, i did not completely understood why Sinbad insisted on Dermott's staying in the village. And we discussed about the episode where Doubar had Dermott on his arm in a topic very recently and it was this episode.
