She won somehow. She showed her antecedence. She set the positions and the relations between them two. She was older, more experienced. Not that she wanted to dominate the girl but Kahlan was still very young, scared and lost. Kriss wanted to create an image of the protector, mentor who is going to take care of her. It seemed that her plan started to work. Kahlan started believing that she needs Kriss.
With Kahlan's words, the archer's eyes turned at her son.
"ANIEL SHAIGANSSON! YOU'VE GOT THREE SECONDS TO COME BACK HERE!" She yelled and the boy obediently turned back.
"He is just like his father. Always going his own ways..."
Indeed Aniel was just like his father. His own paths, rebellious nature but just like his father he was forgetting his independence facing one woman-Kriss de Valnor.
