What a original idea you had here Kriss, and you and Doubar did a grat job in adapting DL stories with your manipulations. Keep it up girls. I like all your works, especially the first one with Basra in the Background, and that featuring Majid and Kalani. I love the way they seem to lean to each other shoulder. I'm looking forward for your upcoming works

Oh Wow Doubs. Thnx so much ^^ That banner looks awesome ^^ hell all the banners in here are awesome. You guys/girls never cease to amaze me with your incredible Photo manipulation skills! Oh! I got a really spiffy Idea! Back on the old MZDM we had "Psychedelic Avatar" cards for character profiles, PA "Sig" cards for Signatures, and "Adventure" cards for Specific Threads. I still have some of the old templates for the cards (The sig cards were originally my idea anyways) If I was to edit/modify the card templates to fit Distant Lands how would everyone feel about making/getting a set of these cards for their characters/sigs/threads? (Not drawings but the same photomanipulations we already use.) Here's an Example.. MZDM Avatar Cards.. Sig Cards.. And finally Adventure Cards.. So if I provide the image size requirements would having these sorts of "card" borders interest folks? [edit] Something like this.. Comments and suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

@dermott: Awww, thanx, honey! I'm glad you like the works. And thanx for your words about the Majid/Kalani one. I must admit I didn't even realize this before, but you're right - they do look like they'd stand back to back. Khei: Awww, you're most welcome!!!! I'm so happy you like it. Hah, and the idea sounds pretty interesting! They'd be like sigs, profile pics and promo pics 2.0. ;D I guess though that we'd need to modify the style of the templates to make it fit the fandom more. But all in all I personally like the idea. Oh wow, but are you telling me that you guys at MZDM created all those cards? They look so professional.

Well the signature cards were my idea and the mods ran with my templates XP I can't take credit for the original Avatar Cards or Adventure cards.
The way it worked originally was that when you registered and created a character you were only allowed to post in the "ENTER" section of the boards. Once you proved you were going to stick around and not be a troll or twink (ie made at least 30 posts) you would be granted access to the rest of the forums. Once you hit 100 posts other people on the boards could Nominate you for getting a Psychedelic Avatar card. This was a way of rewarding players for being good Role Players (Not that one was better at the actual writing but they didn't cause drama or ruin a good thread)
PA Cards were commissioned from professional artsist (PA Artists) by the forum Admin, Furillis Pitch, then would be publicly awarded in a thread specifically created for that very purpose.
But yeah if anyone has any suggestions as to how to alter the templates to better fit the boards here feel free to say so.

Oh, I see. Well, it was an awesome idea then! I mean, I'd think it to be way cool if after some time at a forum I had the chance to get something like that made for me. And it also encourages new users to really stick to the forum and the play. *two thumbs up* However, I guess that at such a small place as DL is one (after all we're only, what, 8 to 10 active players xD ) that system would be kind of superfluous. Anyhow, still I personally like the idea of a common style. Don't know how the others think about that tho. Anyhow. As for what I'd suggest: I guess the fandom would need sandy or reddish/orangeish/brownish colours rather than the steel grey. And the borders should maybe not be that clean/harsh. Dunno, maybe it's just me but when I think of AoS I mainly picture soft borders and the mentioned colours.

Hmm... not really what I'd like this to look like, but the shots I got from the show just aren't of the same quality as the ones I got from the spin-offs.

@doubar But the effects you added hide the differences in the quality somehow Nice one!

Thanx, Kriss. Glad you think so!!!!! And now, this is more of my liking. Not perfect and in sepia tones again (had no real coloured version of Maeve's shot) but more like how I wanted it to be. Think you've been waiting for this one, right? Well, I hope you like the result!

You're welcome! And wow! Finally, couple's promo! Likes the sepia (she loves sepia ;D ) I don't have this pic of Maeve in color either, I think there is not one at all... One thing, in my very personal opinion, Nomad in the background should be a bit bigger. Besides great picture

Whee, glad you like it! And yeah, guess, a coloured version just doesn't exist. Not officially at least. Hihi, and believe me, I had it bigger at first... but then you only saw parts of the sails and could hardly recognize the ship in this, so in the end I settled for this small size. ^^

@doubs You are welcome. And your pictures are astonishing, as always, better than the original ones. I can’t wait for your upcoming works. KheiNice Idea. Just like Doubar already said, even if we cannot apply the whole system to our board until we keep on being such a small circle, this is a creative hint which could maybe help make the fandom (and the board) grow bigger. Maybe we can use it if we are able to gain new players… the problem is…how… The collective and distinctive frame on the contrary may be a good thing, graphic-wise. About the adventures card... are they created for each tread, like the ones Kriss and Doubar are making here? Where did you guys used to put them? At the top of the respective topics? @kriss You are welcome, You deserve it since you always have wonderful ideas. Ahah I’ll try
