"When you are finished with laying on the floor, perhaps we can get back to business."
Ashven had resumed his place, sitting on the bed, watching her prone form breathing in labored, ragged breaths.

Once her lungs had stopped burning she was able to turn her head so her eyes could find the source of her torment. When her eyes adjusted, seeing him just sitting there with that indifferent, smug look was enough to send her into a blind rage.
Without thought, the beast that had been Khei before, lunged at him with such speed, even Ashven failed to predict it and, though he was able to move fast enough to be missed for the most part, her claws managed to slash the side of his neck.

Before Khei could regain her footing and attack again, Ashven threw her back, slamming her into the wall once again, pinning the beast in place.
She growled fiercely, fighting against the force keeping her held in place, her tail lashing about wildly.
He felt of his neck with a hand, pulling it away, covered in blood. He smirked at her as he neared her again.
"Very good. I see that the magic that controls your transformation also heals any damage you endure in your disguised form. That would make sense.. Quite a powerful spell. I must wonder who made them for you."
His face scrunched up in a look of violent anger as he slammed a hand into Khei's throat, digging his nails into the flesh of her neck, drawing blood more easily than one might expect.
"Now you overgrown rodent. You WILL learn to obey me."
His grin returned although his eyes made it clear he was not finished.
"And to ensure you do so I will be keeping these until you do. Then and ONLY then will I return them to you."
He let go and slowly backed away, his face resuming his usual smugness.
"Now I must bid you good night. It will be time to awaken shortly and I wouldn't want to miss the show when your friend discovers your real self."
His insidious laugh echoed through the room as he faded into the shadows and was gone.

Once he was gone, Khei felt herself slump to the ground, her energy drained away. Her anger replaced by fear and dread. Somehow Ashven knew the rules of dreamwalking just as well as she did and she hoped against hope that when she awoke that she would find the whole thing having been nothing more than a dream.
She knew the truth but still she hoped..
She felt of her face and slammed her fists down on the floor. She had just gotten here. She had just made a friend.. Now she faced having everything ripped away from her.
She continued to hope that none of this had been real as she felt the dreamworld fade away into blackness.
Morning approached.
