Well, I hope it's okay that this year I open the thread, but here's to our forum, and here's to its members:

Happy second Birthday, Distant Lands

I can't believe it's been two years now since this place has been created.
While at first we started off with only so few members, and being a mere rpg-board, we by now have evolved to be a place where fans all around the world can gather and meet others who still love this show as well.
Together, we have encountered so much: joy and happiness; the excitement of being part of something new, the suspense of being someone else. We have grown fond of the characters we play and we have added a new depth to the fandom. One might have the feeling that the fandom is dwindling again, but here on DL it's still alive. Here, stories still come to life; and here vids and fanarts still are being made. And here something invaluable has happened: Because one of the best things DL has brought to us are friends. And this I am truly glad for.

We have been through rough times and there were days when the sea was so calm that one could well have feared this ship might get lost in the emptiness of silent waters... but we overcame them all. And now, here we are: celebrating our second anniversary!

So Thank you, Nili for creating this place which means so much to us, and thank you, mateys for making this place be what it is.

May this journey never end.

Seriously, I was just thinking this this morning. Two years, that´s insane. Time has been flying past.

I can just repeat what I have been saying all over again and what I also said last year: when I started this little place I feared it would stay just that. A little place in a fandom that seemed nearly forgotten and that I was sad about not having a single forum rpg out there. My was I wrong. ;D

Anyways, Doubar has wrought such nice words around that already that I feel I can not do much to surpass that. (that´s me being in the middle of analysis grading again but so many stylistic means, you´d make a pretty good speech writer, Doubs. ;D )

I don't know about the rest but 2K will make it for sure! 100% I already know that my visit in Englad is impossible but next year I will save money and go to France.
Of course, Kahlan feel invited when ever you only wish to visit Poland.

Yes, I hope and dream about so! I even already asked some guys who were in France about the bus ;D
Next year or 2012 cause 2011 is going to be my first year at the university. But maybe Kahlan will come here during the Holidays, what do you say Flo?

I saw your post at school and thought that I need to make something special for DL, for you guys. I back home and realized that I have unfinished IT project for tomorrow.... it was like what to do..? I open "Office Access" and "Sony Vegas" in the same time. Once write some tabels and while it was generating me was cutting the clips, then made another table and cut another clips and so on! This way I've got the project and video for you! ;D
