Nice to meet all of you. Ty for the welcome again. Enchanté Kahlan et Kriss , je suis curieux de savoir qui d'autre parle francais. Je suis canadien... ou québécois si vous préfèrez, peu importe, en fait, je suis les deux. About captain Jack Sparrow as my avatar, i just like too much his behaviour. He's simply too funny to watch and listen ;D. However, if i ever participate to the rpg, not sure its a good idea to use the name "Jack Sparrow" for my character. Its a AOS forum not a POTC forum and im sure u dont intend to mix both worlds. Anyway, we'll see about that in time. 2-3 months ago, i started to watch all the AOS 44 episods, 2-3 by week. I hadnt listen them since 4 years or so. I always prefered first season over second one for the same reasons almost all of you likes first seasom: the relation between Maeve and Sinbad and the kinda comic moments all over the season. But i never really watched whole season 2, only 4-5 random episods. As a kid, after i watched first episod of season 2 where Maeve disapears, i lost all interest in watching the show. It killed me (and the show) to see that Maeve wasnt there in season 2. Bryn's character wasnt fitting at all. Damn you, producers of the show, damn you. I'm at episod 9 of second season now, 13 remaining. I dont believe in a return of the adventures of Sinbad WITH THE ORIGINAL CAST. They are getting a little too old. Most of them if not all are now over 40 years old. I dont think it would fit with the continuation of the story. The show timeline would need to be 5-10 years after. It wouldnt make any sence that nothing happens for such a long period of time between season 2 and 3. Thats real sad but i think we must face reality. However, someone might want to continue or remake an AOS show one day with an all new cast. But if that happens, we are probably going to watch it with our childrens.

Aaaaaaahhhhhh! Don't we all just love the weird little coincidences life has a way of throwing at us?! I mean, I've suddenly been havin' a kick out of watching Pirates of the Caribbean for the past two weeks because I believe Jack Sparrow's character is totally delightful to watch! His accent, his mimics, his intricately cunning wits, and so on. Heck, I'm currently half way through watching At World's end, and the next thing I know when I log in here, more specifically on this thread, Jack Sparrow is everywhere on the page!!! ;D Anyhow, glad to finally meet you, Oliver! Hope you'll have as much fun here as we do! Et vive le Québec! Je suis Québécoise aussi, Montréalaise pour être plus précise. Yo ho, haul together, hoist the colours high Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die!Oh, and that part just killed me! ;D Jack Sparrow: You know, for all that pirates are clever-called, we are an unimaginative lot when it comes to naming things. Gibbs: [nods] Aye. Jack Sparrow: I once sailed with a geezer who'd lost both his arms and part of his eye. Gibbs: What did you call him? Jack Sparrow: [pause] Larry. LOL!!!!!! ;D

No, indeed it wouldn't be all too good to mix the two worlds. But characters can be adapted and modified. So as long as you don't copy him one to one, give him another name (i.e. make a new character out of the canon one) and bio there's good chance we could make him fit. Aya to that one. ;D As for AoS: yup, same opinion as we have. The producers just screwed up there. >.< Uh, and just because you're re-watching all them eps now... just to spare you the shock... take some painkillers before watching "The Invaders"... could give you a strong headache otherwise... >_> ... <_< ... xD And no, that's right indeed. I, too, don't believe in a return with the original cast. Well, personally I don't believe in any return of the show (though of course I'd wish for the same) but that's a different matter. It's simply been too many years since the show ended. Back then, when the show was cancelled, maybe if the internet had been this commonly used already - then maybe things would've been different. There has been the try to gather enough fans to support a film (if I remember right)... but there weren't enough who signed the petition. I guess that too few poeple knew about it - the fandom simply had not been that well connected back then. Rumina: You, too??? ;D ;D Haha, I just watched all the parts of PotC some weeks ago. Just can't get enough of it. ;D Although... personally I find part three to be reaaaally sophisticated in a way. All this cheating and betraying... I still try to find out at which point exactly Will and Jack worked hand in hand again... *shifty eyes* ... xD xD Uh, and yay for your quote. ;D I couldn't even name my fav line. He just says too much of this hilarious stuff. ;D ;D

@doubar: I totally agree with you there! The plotline, or should I say plotlines, of the third movie are simply awesome! All the twisted alliances and betrayals are just so complex it's almost hard to follow at some point! ;D

Rumina: Lol! Aye, plotline s would be more fitting there I guess. ;D ;D Haha, and this weird place that's Davy Jones' Locker. Sooooo very weeeiiird, but totally awesome, too. xD xD

@doubar: Aye!!!! Davy Jones' Locker is so maddening!Anybody would go nuts! And the music score of the movie is simply so beautiful! Jones' lullaby is so touching and sad and Will and Elisabeth's theme is so moving and so epic!

Oooh, definitely! The lullaby is just too sad, but also sweet at the same time. Really love it when TiaDalma closes her amulet, and then suddenly we hear Jones' playing. Also I can nothing but agree with you on Will's and Elisabeth's theme. Gosh, I just love the whole soundtrack! Zimmer totally deserved the star on the Walk of Fame!

In regard to PotC, I think my favorite line is from CotBP
"No survivors eh? Where do the stories come from then I wonder."

Rumina Hey salut compatriote québécoise! Je suis de Trois-Rivières. J'étais à Montréal pas plus tard que mardi dernier. J'avais des billets pour le match de hockey des Canadiens vs Ottawa. Go Habs Go! Vive le Québec! LOL I didnt think there would be so much reactions about Jack Sparrow. I am surprised. Indeed, Hans Zimmer created a real music masterpiece for POTC. In fact, i think that a great part of what he created is just incredible. Just have to listen to"gladiator", "blackhawk down" or "davinci code" soundtracks to prove it. Hum My favorite quotes from Jack Sparrow would be: " She’s safe, just like I promised. She’s all set to marry Norrington, just like she promised. And you get to die for her, just like you promised. So we’re all men of our word really… except for, of course, Elizabeth, who is in fact, a woman" Lol. He's an intelligent man but sometimes he can say so stupid things. ;D That makes all his charm. By the way, next POTC movie, Pirates Of The Caribbean - On Stranger Tides, is for next summer. I won't miss that for sure. @doubar It's intriging me a lot. I still have 2 episod to watch before "the invaders". If i remember well, its the alien episod but i have no clue on what really happens during it. Anyway, ty for the information, i'll be warn. If something happens to me, it will be ur fault. .....nah kidding. watching AOS never killed anyone....well.... i think so heyhey.

Khei: Great quote there as well. ;D alex: *randomly tacklehugs* ;D ;D Oliver: Haha, I tell you what: I didn't expect that reaction either. xD I mean, I knew we had many Pirates fans here, but that we'd go this hyper about it... Lol! ;D Ooh, and yeah that's a great line you chose. ;D But I guess my favo line might even be "Take what you can and give nothing back". ;D It's not funny at all... but I just love it when he and Gibbs say that at the end of part 3. "Drink out me mateys, yo ho!" ;D Oh, and Hans Zimmer, yes, it almost seems as if he's doing nothing else but brilliant stuff! I mean, at first I wasn't even aware of all those films he reated the music for but then I noticed and was just like: Whow! He really is an amazing musician! Definitely. Yes. ;D Mwahaha, me neither. Me neither. ;D ;D And as for S2: Yup, that's the one. Dunno, maybe you'll even like it. It's just that all of us here rather got a huuuge headache while watching it. It's just that.... aliens don't fit the world of AoS we think. But, well, I won't say any more - would be mean to spoil anything. Haha, and no, it never killed anyone. ;D Plus well, there are some pretty neat eps in S2 as well. Say, did you already come to watch "Ali Rashid and the Thieves"?
