I read in a post a while ago, I don't remember where, but I believe you said you had _____ # of rooms to rent or something?? Oh, I understand what you are asking now! (I think xD) My family runs a bed and breakfast, and during high season we have 9 rooms available for tourists to book. Cool. Looking forward to seeing it (if there will be one ). ;D Myeah, that's one of my every-time worries, too. Guess it's also the reason for having written more and more one-shots that focus on only one or two characters (mostly those I understand the best xD). Well that's reassuring to know that I'm not alone in worrying about in-character portrayal. I know that when *I* read a story, it bothers me if the author got the character completely wrong, so then I worry about making the same mistake. xD Ooh, it was. Especially as we had the weirdest but also most fitting pairings like: Sinbad had to make a present for Turok, Mala for Scratch, Turok for Bryn, Maeve for Dermott... and it was all just coincidence as we had made a lottery for that one. *really thinks we should do this again this year* ;D Oh, I definitely think it should be done this year too! What sorts of presents were there? (LOL; now I sound like a little kid xD) Huch, yeah, that sounds a lot. But I bet you also meet a lot of interesting poeple during that time, right? Yup ^^ Interesting in good ways (like the archeologist/piper/former-something-to-do-with-police; he had some *amazing* stories....) and interesting in bad ways (like the woman who lied about being told there was a TV in the room when she was specifically told there would NOT be, then went hog wild with complaints about the entire establishment that were not warranted in the least). I guess it takes all kinds to make a world, so it should be surprising that it also takes all kinds to book rooms. xD haha

I know that when *I* read a story, it bothers me if the author got the character completely wrong, so then I worry about making the same mistake. xD Nha, you're definitely not alone there. When reading a story, I, too find it to be important that the author stays in-character. There are a lot of ways do so though and in general I don't mind a tiny little bit OOC, but it shouldn't be too evident or too odd for them. And in this regard of course, I, too, wonder about staying in canon. Well, I think things look good for that one. ;D Uh, and check 'em out, they're all fabulous! distandlands.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=club&action=display&thread=263&page=1We had all kinds of presents: fanarts, videos, stories, poems, kind-of a comic... Really great stuff! *notices Kal posted in the meantime, seconds Kal ;D * Indeed. And, heh, that archeologist guy sounds interesting. ^^

And in this regard of course, I, too, wonder about staying in canon. Yeah, I don't mind a bit of OOC, as long as it stays true to the character (if that made any sense?); sort of like a development of the character, growing and changing, sort of thing. ;D It does look like some awesome stuff! LOL Oh, he definitely was interesting! He told us stories about this friend he had who was always getting in car accidents and other bad accidents, had been apparently considered clinically dead several times, but he's still around. Once he was involved in a huge pile up car accident, but he got out of his car and was going around asking folks if they were okay. The answer every time was for people to just *stare* at him, like he had grown two heads or something. Finally, I don't know if someone told him or if he caught a glimpse of his reflection in a mirror or car window, or something, but he had this *huge* shard of glass stuck in his forehead! Haha, I can just imagine what people were thinking... "What do you mean, are we okay? Are YOU okay?" xD

Sounds amazingly awesome! ;D Oh, believe me, it was. ;D I know exactly what you mean. And that's just the kind of OOC that I find to be okay, too. Whooha. My God, yeah, that'd be like the only thought I would have at such a sight. Phew, some poeple really have nine lives.

Sounds amazingly awesome! ;D Oh, believe me, it was. ;D Looks like it was! (From all I read in the secret santa thread ^^) ;D Yay! Another who shares my opinion. ^^ lol Indeed, he must have nine lives. Or 100? He seems to have survived quite a bit! Another story the piper told us was about this elderly African-American gentleman who was driving home one day. Apparently he hit a deer and decided, 'Oh good! Supper!' and put it in the back of his station wagon. He then got back in the car and started driving along. Not five minutes later, the deer "revived" and went beserk! It was flipping out in the car and even bit the man in the back of the neck! So of course he got out of the vehicle and ran over to a phone booth that happened to be there -- meanwhile, the deer is still rampaging in his vehicle. He calls the police and tells them his story, and they're like... "Yeah, uh-huh, sure thing, whatever you say." And obviously don't believe him. By this point in time, the deer has passed out again and he decides to get back in the car. He's not driving too long before the deer wakes up AGAIN! So he calls the police again and they *finally* decide to go check this out. I bet they were surprised when they found out it was true! xD haha

;D Yay! Another who shares my opinion. ^^ lol *high fives* ;D This is just: Whoa, I can imagine the police reacted like this. I have to admit though I feel a bit sorry for the deer there.

;D Yay! Another who shares my opinion. ^^ lol *high fives* ;D -high fives back- ;D Yeah, I feel sorry for the poor deer. I wonder whatever happened to it in the end... And did you know that really, really old outhouses are good for archeological digs?

@bran: Dunno, but if, as you told, the driver hit it then I have not much hope for the poor creature... But maybe it was a lucky one, had just a little concussion, got freed by the police and ran off into the forest. *little dreamer-self speaking* As for the outhouses: lol! Yeah, I heard about that. ;D In the town where I live in, some years ago, they were digging in the grounds of the market place and found many goods. And I once watched a documentary where they mentioned the thing about the outhouses. ;D

Considering it revived twice, maybe it was like that guy that has been in all the accidents! xD haha You're the first person I've mentioned it to that had heard of it before! ;D Congrats! xD haha Outhouses? Yea, I've heard of those too! Wells also make goo dig-sites! And you're the second xD lol I would imagine wells would make good dig sites, for the same reason as the piper said outhouses were; people throwing their old, unwanted things down into them.

Maybe that deer did indeed have nine lives just like that guys you mentioned. ;D I am? Cool! ;D
