Hmmm.... Probably based a TV-show off of a favorite series of books of mine or something. lol Does that count as inventing? haha
What would you do if you were transported through time/space into the middle of a medieval battle?

Probably faint and then think it's the coolest thing in the world; followed by crying because I'm stuck in the past, and then excitement because I'm in the Midevil Past (one of my fav timelines).
I'm strange, I know.
What would you do if you were stranded on an uncharted island that is literally as flat as a board??

((haha, well if it's any consolation, my reaction would probably be pretty close to that too!))
I think I would go crazy from boredom. At least with an island with some varied topography, you can explore the place. Flat as a board... not so much. xP lol
What would you do if you were given the opportunity to go to one single point in the past to change a significant event in history? What event would that be and why?

I am not sure whether I would want to change anything. Sure, there are things that should not have happened, I mean, I am sure we all could have done without Hitler, but then again that without Hitler, Germany would be the stable democracy it is today. Same with other events and things...even the worst events and atrocities can lead to something good in the long run, side effects we might never experience if those things were changed. Not to mention the things that never happened. Such as....how do we know that if we change the past and change let´s say a massacre into never happening that we do not safe the life of the guy that died but that if he had grown up, would have pressed the button in the Cold War to make it a hot one?

If you could be one movie character, who would you want to be.

Hmmm..... That's a tough question! In the end, if for no other reason than sitting here trying to think of all the movies I've ever seen and which character I would rather be would take FAR too long (lol), I think I would have to go with movieEowyn. She has beautiful dresses, a pretty active role, and gets to be in a battle! (lol)
((You make some excellent points there about the back-in-time-to-change-things problems. I agree with you; no matter how bad it has gotten, who knows whether changing one thing to be better wouldn't have resulted in making another situation even worse! Historical nerdism is awesome ^_^ lol))
What would you do if you were granted the ability to become invisible?

Ah, that's easy to answer. I would watch and learn. There are moments when I wish I could be invisible so that I could just watch poeple interact, or watch animals without them noticing me. Ya know, I mainly learn through watching and listening so I guess that's why. Ah, what would you do if you held the power to influence the weather? [stupid question, I know ;D )

Be tempted to make it such that would slow tourism down for most of the year ; however, I would probably use it to benefit people, especially farmers.
If you could (or had to) be an animal (mammal, bird, etc.) for 1 day, what kind would it be?

Oh definitely a Swan. They're so calm and serene. My life is such a hustle of late so, floating around delicately on a lake, with the vast skies above me beckoning my soaring wings, will be a treat! If you had to be a great woman/man in history, who will you be and why?

That's a really tough question to answer; there are so many amazing people in history... I don't think I could choose. Someone who did a great service to humanity would be a choice, though what sort and who... I honestly don't know.
If you had the choice, would you rather people could always tell what you were thinking and feeling all the time or that people never knew what you were thinking and feeling, even if you told them?

Oh, both are though. But I guess I would go insane if everyone constantly knew what I was thinking and feeling. So I'll go for that one. >_> If you had the chance to steal a glance at your own future, would you take it?

Oh boy, another tough question! I think I would be EXTREMELY tempted to steal a glance... but at the same time I don't think I want to know. But I do. But I don't. I think I'd end up like Firouz when he tugged the rope in that one episode (can't remember the name of the episode or circumstance surrounding it, but it seems if I remember correctly that it sort of fits what I'm thinking, lol). xD
How's all that for confusing? hehe I shouldn't post when I'm exhausted beyond words. xP
Would you rather stay awake a week or sleep a month?

Post by Doubar on Aug 31, 2013 13:01:05 GMT -5
That depends on whether the stay awake would also mean I don't get tired and don't suffer from any side-effects that such a lack of sleep would normally bring. Caus if that's the case I'd definitely choose to stay awake a week - maybe I could then catch up on everything that's on my ever growing to-do-list. xD
If you could manipulate one person to do all you want for one day, who would you choose to manipulate and what would you make them do? ;D
@lani: Not confusing at all. I understand exactly what you mean. And it would be the same for me. ^^

Oh boy.... good question! I think I would be awfully tempted to choose my mother and I would make her stop stressing about everything! Choosing someone who could make a major difference in the world would be equally tempting, though. Make them make decisions as I deem fit. xD If you could spend a day with a famous person (past or present), who would you choose and why? What would you spend the day doing? Doubar: Yay, I'm glad it wasn't too confusing! ^_^

Oh, ah, difficult one, that. So many amazing people to choose from. But I guess I'd have to end up naming a comedian that you cannot possibly know but who's basically been the hero of my childhood. I've always wanted to meet him and tell him how fond the memories are that I have of watching his show together with my family. I'd be too embarassed to really do that though I guess but ... yeah, he's someone I'd like to spend some time with. Hoping I wouldn't see my image of him destroyed. That's the thing with meeting people you admire, there's always the chance of coming out of this heart-broken if they're actually not who you thought them to be. Anyway. As for what to do? Nothing spectecular either. Pluck up the courage to actually talk to him and then spend a nice afternoon somewhere in a café or whatever. So, similar to that - and because I really am not creative today - if you could spend a day at any place in any time in history, which one would it be. And when?

Wow, another difficult one! There are so many different fascinating points in history and so many amazing places... how to choose just one! Perhaps simple is best. A quiet moment, past or future, just spent in a forest someplace, enjoying peace and solitude. That has a definite appeal at present.
If there was one tragic moment in history you could avert, what would it be?
