I thought so.
I thought it was an amazing idea to have the music grow or die as their relationship grew or died off through season 2 and 3 if Jackie had decided to stay on.
I'm sad that it didn't get to be completed too.

I love stuff like this Reminds me of how Howard Shore designed the different themes in Lord of the Rings. The fellowship theme appears in different stages of development throughout the movie. Not in full ever before the council of Elrond and never in full again after the death of Boromir.

@firouz: Indeed that idea is awesome, and I'm so sad they didn't get to carry that on. I so loved the song - even if it was just this little tidbit till now. @sinbad: Whoa, I watched that so often already but I never noticed what you told about this theme. That's way cool to know.

We don't have any clue how long ago Dermott became a hawk, do we?

We don't have any clue how long ago Dermott became a hawk, do we? Oh dear, I'm so sorry nobody answered to this! I fear the ship has fallen rather silent as life is keeping all of us occupied. But no, there was never any kind of hint in the series. It is widely accepted within the fandom though that it must have been during their (early) teenage years - when Maeve was old enough to get by at her own on her quest to learn magic. Even, I believe to remember that something Ed Naha once said in an interview supported that time frame but I must admit I'm not too certain about that.

I admit, I'd thought of it as later for some reason. Probably because Maeve is so early in her magical training. Sure, logically, it makes sense for it to take her a while to travel so far and find a teacher that would train her, but I just don't feel like should be a decade. But if there is no canonical refrence to timeframe, I can headcanon it any way I want, right?
