*shrugs* Hum, yeah, I noticed the similarity, too. But if it's really her, I wouldn't know as well.

*sigh* I know most of us (if not all) have read this already, but I just did so once more and it really made me sigh. source: www.farfarawaysite.com/sinbad/edcorner/ed2.htmReally, reading that them producers threw out most of the plotlines Naha invented... uuurgh! That's just too insane! They could've introduced Bryn properly, they could've continued the plotlines of S1... it was all there obviously, but instead they had to copy the movies that ran on Turner (suppose that's an old channel). Argh! I had 47 outlines thrown out for no reason by the President, largely because they weren't dark or sexy enough. They were, however, magical and wonderful. and I found that the only stories I could get through were stories that reminded him of old moves...movies that played on Turner. So, I wound up actually reading TV guide weekly, as soon as it hit the stands, seeing what movies played the most on any given week...and plotting accordingly.Really, they had good ratings, obviously were even the best rated new show of its kind, and still they wanted the impossible Then, I figured out, that, since everyone at All-American was operating out of a sense of panic, (WE NEED RATINGS LIKE XENA OR HERCULES!...which took a couple of years to get that way...and has a largely female audience) . Still, the show survived, even though it lost quite some fans due to the changes. But, telling from this note, Naha (finally) would've been in charge again for S3. It looked as if the President would cede editorial control back to me and his V.P., the fellow who brought the show to All-American in the first place. And then they just get dumped. *sighs in frustration* Really, that's just insane! P.S.: I know this is nothing new to you, but still I wanted to get that off my chest.

I really didn't understand that reptilian thing. I'm glad they didn't add aliens to that, what the heck. That's the biggest weakness of this serie, having made a 180 degree at season 2. And needless to say, would have made another one for season 3. I understand for a serie to be catchy it has to surprise the viewers. But there HAS to be a continuity as well. For my part, I thought s1 and s2 could have been 2 different shows. And I say it having only watched 3 episodes of s2, for I was really disappointed at the way things had changed. I might watch it soon though. I'm kinda scared. I love to watch s1, laugh at their humour, dream about that little Maeve-Sinbad flirt, I'm afraid by watching the entire s2 it will ruin years of reverie hahaha. I know, I'm weird.

Indeed, the two seasons often appear like two different series. There was no continuity in the show and in the plot. Asides of Scratch and DimDim none of the characters that were introduced in S1 re-appeared in S2. Oh, but you're not weird at all. I know exactly what you mean, because back then when I saw S2 for the first time (granted, I was a lot younger then), it truly shocked me and well, yeah, it kinda destroyed a dream. However, later I began to see them as kinda two seperate shows. I still love S1 athmosphere and love to watch the eps, but I have also grown to somewhat like S2. Granted, by far not as much as I like S1, which is mainly being reasoned in that I miss the humour and light-heartedness of S1, but I by now have my S2-eps that I like to re-watch and that can even entertain me. Also, in my very personal AoS universe I got rid of the things that bugged me so greatly (like Sinbad having so many love interests in S2) and thus have made my peace with the season. Maybe it just depends on how you look upon S2. If you see it as something different and maybe even seperate then I think it's safe enough to try some more eps. But that's just my experience.

Tell you some paradox? My borther actually doesn't like S2 at all but his favourite episode of the show is "The Passengers" S2E10 ;D ;D ;D ;D As Doubar said, tere are some things in S2 which you can actaully find 'nice', there are some to which you can simply get used and some which you just ignore and enjoy the show anyway.

I felt the same watching X-Files. I was then too young to watch it, but since last year my boyfriend and I have bought the 9 seasons on DVD, we're now going through the 8th season and I was TOTALLY SHOCKED to see Mulder wasn't in it anymore. (I know, I'm late ). I had fantasized so much about the nice and flirtatious relationship that was starting to develop between him and Scully (my boyfriend was tired of seeing me cheer every time they would kinda flirt or even kiss !) that I really, and truly felt BETRAYED when he left and that other guy replaced him. I think I'll feel the same watching S-2. Ahhhhhhh I hate to love romantic stories that much. Is there any where they finally finish together and live happily after ? Instead of always having to hope and then nothing happens and one leaves the show, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

I feel and think the same as Doubar and Kriss Firebrand, by the way...Welcome aboard!, and as such if you have to...simply see S1 and S2 as two different shows....
My friend, who didn't know much of Sinbad, saw Kriss and Kahlan's website and thought that Sinbad S1 and Sinbad S2 were twins! ;D One evil and one good! LOL
