Rumina, Rumi and Bryn: Am just suggesting this so that things don't get mixed up: could you open a new thread for this discussion maybe (or use an older one that fits)? I think it's really important that we find a solution for that one, for the thing between Rumi, Maeve and Bryn is one of the central backgrounds in the whole rpg. Rumina: Agree with you though, Lass (as does Bryn).

Finally managed to read through the whole plotting... Just thought I'd add my say too. I agree with Maeve there. My personal version of the story involves a Rumina who'd turned major that week, & to celebrate she went away wrecking havoc & rounding up slaves in Maeve's village. But anyway, totally agree with Maeve there. A character to romance Bryn seemed weird at first to me. She was pure evil until she lost her memory, but still she's got feelings for a slave boy? :-\ :-\ Dimdim can sense Bryn to be a goodie in the heart, but if a normal slave boy can sense it too, she must've been a very lousy evil missy I agree with what everyone said on too much revenge plots on the board. Maybe you can make the character a pure baddie instead of a inbetween, mody. He can be the slave boy who's enthralled by Bryn's evil genious & dreams of being her most trusted champion. Then, after Bryn's disappearance, he joins Rumi but not as enthusiastic as he was to join Bryn, & when he learns of her being a crew of no..

...nomad he's overjoyed & comes with plunkett's crew secretly wishing to meet Bryn again, manages to stay in Basra.. but when he finds out Bryn's a goodie now, he's disappointed. Bryn doesn't remember him but when she gets back her memory, she tries to convince him to give up the dark ways & join the goodie side... :-\ It's only a suggestion.

Finally managed to read through the whole plotting... Just thought I'd add my say too. I agree with Maeve there. My personal version of the story involves a Rumina who'd turned major that weak, & to celebrate she went away wrecking havoc & rounding up slaves in Maeve's village. Then, after Bryn's disappearance, he joins Rumi but not as enthusiastic as he was to join Bryn, & when he learns of her being a crew of no.. Okay i think i should Make somethings clear here. I have to admit I do not like the idea of Bryn being a pure evil. ....Think with me, every child born is pure and have a good, innocent heart. But the surroundings are the thing which affects any person,s way in life. If these factors are bad then the one will be bad. If they were good then they will be good too. In Bryn's case she was a little child with a pure heart. Turok began to teach her Dark arts. She began to do what her father tells her without really knowing what that means. She was a child and looked at all of this like a game . And do not please convince me with the fact that she had pure dark planned brain in the age of 8 or whatever. I had a sister with 5 years and other with 12 and I know how they look like. Her father gave her a slave as a present (doubar said that and I think it is logical) then she began to be attracted to him. That does not mean that they were fully in love, its Bryn's innocent heart which does not affected with all this dark magic who felt attracted to this young child. She was acting like a little coddled child. She was doing what her father telling her as if it was a play or a game. That can explain why she went to destroy maeve's village. She thought it as another game. The way the young children look with their innocent eyes to the others can make them able to go through the heart of the others and know very well what they look like indeed without any social or acquired masks, So the little boy does not have to be a little magician to know whether Bryn possess a pure heart or not. What I mean is that Bryn was pure in heart but her father's way in raising her up Is what make her like that. I planned to make the white and dark mixture inside her what make a dark demon be inside her and guiding her way in the dark path.that is how I see Bryn and that is how I will be able to play her.

@sarah: No, in fact it will affect him. After all - whether Bryn took him or Turok did - the boy was the servant or even guard of his little daughter. And considering that he wanted his daughters to marry wealthy men, he won't be all too happy about seeing a servant mating up with his little daughter. And since Rumi and Turok will most likely reunite, he will directly be involved as well. So please get her approval as well. Sure, I will get her approval. But wait a minute, who said anything about marrying a wealthy man? Bryn did not have any marriage plans when she was taken by DimDim. And no, I am not, according to what I know, mating up with Bryn. I could, but how? but both of them-rumi and turok- will not know about this relationship. it was more than some glances and little chat. and Bryn was evil but that returns to the way she raised up in. but after all she was just a little kid doing what her father tells her and did not have a well of her own. Well, that goes to the pms I sent you, but you wanted to discuss it later when you can think better.

Actually that is how I wrote her in her bio. All people can choose to be good or evil. Nobody is born purely good or purely evil. Bryn was evil (or semi-evil) in the start, because that is how she grew up. When she was taken up by DimDim, she remembered nothing and it was like she started a new live. She grew up good.

actually you assured that she was purely dark. And if it was not you then I wrote that to clarify how I think I will play the brunette.
How? And I meant all this arguing. and you have the full right to understand the character you will play with. it is my problem not feeling good with arguing. good you remembered me to write in who are you that i HATE arguing. but again it is my problem. so do not ever feel offended. you are a nice person. and please understand me.

I had problems before. And yes, discuss this later after your exams. And thank you, and I think you can be a really nice person, too.

Yeah, I too would've liked to see Bryn and Doubar become a couple, and the whole idea of Scratch forcing Bryn to marry him after she learnt her past from Rumi would've been nice too. But I guess these new ideas won't be too bad. I still remember some of my villain schemes for Scratch-centric "episodes/chapters" that I discussed with Sinbad/Doubar many moons ago. As for the rest of my two cents in this situation, I like this idea of a character from the baddie's side who is charged with watching over Bryn, but eventually falling for her. Sounds better than the whole revenge deal, since nearly a handful of characters' motivations are already fueled by revenge. It's all up Mody to deal with however way he'll portray his character, but the initial revenge bit is quite overrated and needs to be stayed away from

okay here is what mody thought and i found okay. Okay, he was taken by Turok and offered to Bryn. Bryn: Oh, thank you daddy. I love him. (You know, not the romantic love type of love) He tried to set himself free and planned no revenge. He did not see his parents being killed and was rather kidnapped. Bryn treated her present well, not wanting to upset her father, who went through all the trouble getting her the present. He grew fond of her niceness, although she still ordered him around. Bryn liked him too but would not show it. Bryn was following her father’s orders in doing evil as a good girl. Over time, she got accustomed to doing evil. It did not seem a big deal to her. When she was taken by Dimdim after attacking Maeve’s village, she remembered nothing and started a new life, growing up good. He, in an attempt to find Bryn, who was assumed dead, stayed with Rumina and offered his service. Rumina took him because he was a loyal servant, and she liked his good looks. He would think about Bryn but would not show it. (He had no revenge toward Rumina.) He did not mind Rumina that much but missed Bryn. Rumina would often want to sleep with him. Not to offend Rumina, he would not object. He was overjoyed to hear that Rumina found Bryn. He offered to help Rumina with her plans for revenge, although he just wanted to see Bryn again. Bryn does not know him. He will convince Captain Sinbad to take him on the ship. Then he can carry out Rumina’s plans, confusing the crew, altering their course, reporting little tidbits, and trying to kill Bryn (which would be the hardest to do). so what do you think?

This sounds totally fine to me. Just one thing: He will convince Captain Sinbad to take him on the ship. Then he can carry out Rumina’s plans, confusing the crew, altering their course, reporting little tidbits, and trying to kill Bryn (which would be the hardest to do). so what do you think? Hm... I see problems there because what Rumi is currently plotting something that will be played out next. Assuming what you wrote here would make it a double plan which would not quite fit. I think this needs coordination with Rumi, because I think without her saying something about it, this can not work. However, I really like the idea of a spy on board the Nomad. Maybe it could work the way that he gained the crew´s trust by helping them in a situation against Rumi´s pirates or something which would be show but the crew would think of him as goodie then and they would more likely trust him. But anyways, great potential there, but this needs to be coordinated and I can not speak on Rumi´s behalf. i can however send her an e-mail tomorrow and hope to get a swift reply.

@mody: was just referring to the fact that Turok did not want Rumina to be interested in a "simple sailor". He wants his daughters to have only wealthy men who have power (princes or Caliphs) - or at least that's how I got it. So I would assume he wants the same for Bryn. Oh. So you altered your plans. Fine with me. And about the latest version: aye, a spy/double agent sounds cool. But just like Sinbad already said, this doesn't work without Rumi's approval.
