Did you make any of these? I can imagine you making the Harry Potter puppets.

So you have no videos of your own? Can you send me one when you make one. What is your Youtube account? Is it under the same name as your fanfiction? And how do you open a Youtube account? I would like to open mine.

I doubt I´ll make one in the near future because my laptop is too slow for such stuff. This is my account though. Not too interesting. www.youtube.com/user/NilidarkelfYou can easily open one by clicking on "register" somewhere on the top.

Ha, bad at self description. I am surprised to hear that from you who seems to describe Sinbad so well. Hmmm. Star Wars, X-men, Pirates of the Caribbean. Did you see my theme song video of Star Wars I posted on the “movie soundtracks” thread? Not much though. Oh this is another video I collected using pictures from Star Wars. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpNaIuFl6v4&feature=relatedAnd Dragonheart. Love that movie. So sad, though. Yes, “to the stars, to the stars.” Also, Neverending Story was sad, too. However, I never read the book, only watched the movie. Do you have a PC or a Mac? PC stands for "Piece of crap."

I´m a real sucker for fantasy so my choice of favourite movies is rather one sided with a lot of fantasy in it. You really should read the Neverending story. The first movie was good, the second and third were crap, really. Nowhere near the book.

Okay, when I am done with school I may find more time to read. Meanwhile, I have to read my chemistry, environmental science, and politics book. It takes me about 1 hour to read 4 pages so I have to get moving. Oh, and I found this on the internet. May help me with my previous chemistry question. webs.wofford.edu/basscg/password/Organic/2006%202007/labs/Microwave%20Synthesis%20of%20a%20Porphyrin.pdfUnderstand any of it? I love fantasy, as long as it is not too weird. In X-men, could it happen? Very possible, though I don't think we will be able to walk through walls. In Sinbad, is it possible. With exception of sorceresses and devils, yes. Actually there are some people who have "powers." I believe magic is unexplained science, and therefore anybody can do magic if you know how to use your powers. I think I can create a fireball quite easily by mixing chemicals.

Well, I think I maybe have a differnt approach on fantasy. It´s not a question of whether it´s possible or not, but it´s a qustion about how interesting and entertaining it is. But also, how "real" are the topics that are dealt with. Fantasy novels often approach issues that are no adressed in other stories but which are totally up to date and important. Take X Men: Sure you can view it underthe scientific aspect and that´s an interesting way of viewing it. Another way would be: the movies are basically dealing with a very timeless and basic topic which is prejudice and tolerance. Whether it´s mutants or people of other skin colour / opinion / sexal orientation does not really matter. These topics are universal.

You sound like my uncle, analyzes the story underneath.

Heh Well, with X Men there is not much analysis needed, it´s rather obvious.

When I watch X-men, I look for the entertainment, not the underlying theme. Yes, I noticed, but it was pretty fun to watch a war between humans and mutants. Lord of the Rings was same. And yes, it is quite possible. Harry Potter, that seems totally fiction, and therefore I didn’t enjoy it that much. I like some realism in fiction. Star Trek, Star Wars, all possible.

Well, when I watch X Men it is mostly enterntainment, sure. But the topic is there and I notice it. Btw, since you seem to like "realistic fantasy", you might want to check out Philipp Pullman´s "His Dark Materials" trilogy.
