Aww, thanks everyone! The reason why I made this banner is that I recently re-read my thread with Dim-Dim and the one with the bottle and it somehow dragged me into this kind of sad, melancholic mood again...  alex: Aye, I like my previous sig very much as well! It's kind of my neutral one and I'll probably switch between the two once in a while. Kahlan&Doubar: The pic in the middle is fan-made. It took me an eternity to do it, doubled with an incredible amount of patience, but I absolutely wanted to make it since it literally portrays how I wrote Maeve, waiting and hoping to get out of the other realm... I found the pic of a beach with Google, altered it a bit, then I extracted the Maeve standing-figure from a pic taken at the beginning of The Bully, created the little shadow behind her 'cause it looked weird without one...Then I played with the light effects to try and blend everything in. Oh and I added prison bars to separate the different images. |

But I was so afraid it wouldn't turn out as I wanted it to...I just really wanted something that would capture her helplessness in the prison that she's trapped in...in this sort of untouchable magical place... Scratch: Wow, thank you! But now that I'm looking at it, there's something buggin' me about the sails...they're not white enough, not neat enough...will change it... |
