What is that talking about?

That means Italy promised to send Africa $3.5 billion in 2005, but only sent 3% of that.

Yeah, and why do those stupid politicians make so much money for doing nothing but arguing.

Doesn't seem fair, does it?? Especially, when nothing is being done to fix their arguing...

I agree. And if they just let economics and businesses handle the stimulus money, instead of placing restrictions, the American economy might be in better shape than it currently is. Really, how much do those politicians know about economics and business?

Got me! I thought most of them were lawyers before they became political people.

Lawyers, politicians, whatever. They know nothing about how businesses and economics work. What makes them think they can run a business better than a CEO with a MBA? I was so mad when they were debating about the stimulus bill. Hey, the longer they waited, the worse it got. And when they did pass it, it had all this junk and restrictions attached. Instead of worrying about how the taxpayer can benefit, they are hurting the taxpayer by including all these unnecessary things. I don't know, but sometimes I wished we adopt some forms of government from the Chinese. Did you know that the price of gasoline in China has stayed the same for the last five years? And based on US Dollars, it costs about $1 a gallon.

I might be wrong, but it could be because they don't rely on it as much as we do here in USA. Except in the big cities, they are still very rural and traditional...I think.

Yes, most of the country is rural, but I think the Chinese are handling their stimulus money better. Why else would the Chinese economy start to pick up again in the 1st quarter while the U.S. economy remains flat or still declining.
