I briefly forgot about the harem scene, oh my ;D No, what I meant was more the shyness around Maeve. I liked that better than the fuss he was making over the women of season II. Of course that had a logic of its own because it shows that these others don´t matter to him, but meeh...
Scratch definitey saved the baddies in season II, they were just weak till that point. ;D And yes, I always "liked" the character, so reckless and manipulative, it added quite some spice to the whole thing. ;D

so hadn't hint his feelings for Maeve... just like Maeve done with her feelings for him.
scratch is somehow crazy but I LOVE this with him that ugly looking and then some moves like he is a clown.. LOL

I actually had ask me always way Sinbad do not known the name of his mum or saw the picture/painting which Doubar have. I seems strange to me that Sinbad didn’t know his mother’s name. She told him“You can call me Mala”, not “my name is Mala”. My guess is that she had a pet-name that she only used with Doubar (his son) and that Sinbad didn’t know. But her "Official name" was another. @firouz Of Course. ;D ;D She did the big job. And aboute Sinbad loosing all his loved ones beacuse of the sea, I think that Ed Naha hinted his inner sorrow several times. In the trickster If I remember correctly he was afraid of water and to die drawning, as if he had an ambivalent relationship of love/challenge with this element.

But her "Official name" was another. Hm, good idea you have there, Derm. It did never occur to me that it could be a nick name. And about the rest: well, Sinbad had never known his parents. Doubar was his only family - the only he remembered anyways. As we can see in Hell House Doubar loves his mother and maybe that picture he kept was a treasure - the only thing he did not want to share. Maybe it was the one thing that kept him going after the parents died. *suddenly has the feeling her own inner Tubby is speaking xD* Anyways. According to the fact that Sinbad obviously did neither know his mother's looks nor her name we have to assume that this is something the brothers never really talked about. Yeah, great ambivalence it is. And great stuff for fanfics and rpg!!! ;D Uh, and yeah: welcome aboard Maeve300!

It will be a little strange when sinbad shows his feelings easy. you only can read his thought sometimes.

and he forgot his afraidness by jumpig into the water to save maeve ;D Yeah. ;D It would, yes. But Zen plays so well (and Nili adapts that just perfectly if you ask me! ), I think, that his emotions are shown and that in fact I do even prefer to always saying what was going on in his mind. Also, it gives us the chance to interpret his actions.

OK, I know this a bit random, but does anyone else notice the flute music that is always associated with Maeve? I haven't watched an episode in a while but I recall in Hell House that the music came up again.

*nods eagerly* Of course I did. I adore it and love the fact that it's been a constant in the show. It played when Sinbad first met her and it played when he talked about her in Hell House /ran after what he believed was Maeve. Just totally awesome.

Everyone who loves season 1 should like and adore the music! It was written for the pair before the show began much like the character Maeve was made specifically for Jackie. It was meant to instill in the viewers a sense of belonging, love, and friendship between the two.

But hearing this ... yeah, that's exactly what I always felt like when that music played. Have you any idea who composed this lovely little piece?
