Aaaah. Thanx for enlighting me, Sinbad. I had the vague idea it might be something like this 'caus of the vid Maeve posted but haven't been sure. Well, I like such things as well. And am goind to visit one with my boyfriend for his birthday in a fortnight. ;D

I think there are festivals like that around the states as well. Try to google “Renaissance Faire” in combination with your city, maybe you´ll find something. Btw that one was one not too far from my place and I went there last year. Cool thing about Europe: unlike the US, we have tons of medieval castles that give festivals like that a really great flair.

@sinbad: Europe is full of medieval stories! In France for exemple there are so much castles! and I love visiting them! I would really like to go on a festival like that but there is not near me! Do you know "Puy de fou"? it's a huge theme park in France but we just watch big shows such as a battle of musketeers, a running of roman tanks, Viking who attack a village... it's so beautiful to see! www.puydufou.com/uk/look at the "virtual tour"
