I think there are festivals like that around the states as well. Try to google “Renaissance Faire” in combination with your city, maybe you´ll find something.

Btw that one was one not too far from my place and I went there last year.

Cool thing about Europe: unlike the US, we have tons of medieval castles that give festivals like that a really great flair.

it's a huge theme park in France but we just watch big shows such as a battle of musketeers, a running of roman tanks, Viking who attack a village... it's so beautiful to see!
