Thanks, Kal. I had already seen this video. There's even a site where after seeing some exclusive footage of the movie the people wrote about the stunts she pulls out and apparently they are very Legolas-like. They saw a scene where she was kind of sliding cowboy style while shooting arrows at the same time or something like that. They also said her outfit was pretty much like the one Legolas wears, only all in brown. Well, I'm still working on my prologue but when I'm done with it we can start planning for some sort of first-meeting scenario.

@doubar: ;D ;D ;D @mala: Totally like your post! Kahlan: Oooh, I can't wait to see what Caipra does! Inner Maeve is sooo looking forward to dealing with Baldy!

Yep, I guess I can post something to get the fight officially started before you post with Majid in the reunion thread, giving you the opportunity to close the Errand for a friend one.

@kriss: Well Kate Beckinsale is a great choice, too. Besides, if Kal had picked Evi, you two wouldn't have had much material to make all your wonderful videos. ;D *inner Kate makes mental note* "Avoid picking on the guards' captain. Got it." ;D @doubar: Aye, I guess the two plotlines can be simultaneous, she just has to be either with Caipra, either with Majid or Kalani. Mala: Aye, I already have two pages written for my prologue. Dear spirits, I can get so carried away sometimes...*shakes head*

@doubar: It all makes sense to me. Kalani: I hope things get better for you soon, dear.

Yay! I'm glad you like her, too, Kriss! Aye, I can't wait for the Hobbit to come out and to see her in her elven role! Really? Well, she and Kate Beckinsale do look alike a lot. And to think of it, Bridget Regan and her do resemble each other a lot as well! As for the plot, like I said, I can get Kate to play with everyone, both Caipra and the merchants. It could be cool to have her multi-task! ;D

Thank you, Dermott! I'm happy you like her! Well, I guess she could offer her services to both the merchants and Caipra. After all, helping people is what she likes to do as well as learning new stuff, so it could work. In response to your question Kal, I guess I would like to start with the meeting.

Aye, she has an amazing smile indeed. As for the sig, I created that warm glowing effect using photobucket and their new editing program. Well, I guess being Caipra's assistant is a bit touchy considering the whole 2Ks plotline going on...Things could become complicated time-wise. But just like you, I really like the idea of Kate getting tangled up with Majid and Kalani. I think these three characters together could create a very cool dynamic.

Wow! I’m so glad you guys like her!! @doubar: Aye, indeed it will be a change for me to play this kind of character, which is exactly what I was looking for: a lighter, easy-going kind of person, and I chose to make Kate as polyvalent as she is so as to make her fit in all kinds of situation. Oh and thanks! I’m glad you like the ava and sig! Took me forever to find the ava pic though, and at least an hour to artistically modify the sig…*wipes sweat from brow* But I’m pretty satisfied with the results! Now guys, I absolutely love all your ideas! However…I’m not sure I want to include her in the big fight-reunion scene. There are already many characters involved and I think it’s best if we keep it as simple as possible. Plus, in a scene like that, I’d like to focus my energies solely on Maeve rather than on two characters. BUT…I really like the idea of Kate becoming Caipra’s assistant! Magic is a domain she hasn’t touched yet so it would be pretty cool for her to learn about it. AND…I also like the idea of Kate getting in touch with Majid and Kalani! Maybe not as the physician’s assistant tending to someone wounded, but she could offer her services to the two merchants. Also, I will probably write a little stand-alone-prelude to introduce Kate before she reaches Basra, like, her traveling in the forest in the direction of the city or something like that.

Name: Elizabeth Longstride Age: 24 Height: 5’5 *Nickname*: Lizzy Outer appearanceWith a pair of captivating green eyes, Elizabeth is an average-height young woman with long wavy brown hair framing her gentle and expressive freckled features. She wears a pair of practical brown woolen trousers slightly bunched up at the hem of her black boots, and a comfortable off-white, mid-sleeved shirt cinched at her waist by a forest-green leather belt. She also travels with a brown backpack. CharacterCurious, funny and spirited, Elizabeth is trouble and wonder all in one person. Resourceful and knowledgeable in many different domains, she’s simply full of surprises, for better or for worse. She is kind, generous and instinctively puts other people’s needs above her own. She is also loyal and devoted and she never begins something she doesn’t intend to finish. Always seeing the glass half-full, she looks at the world through a veil of optimism and it takes a lot to wipe the good-natured smile off her face. If you’re looking for a back to count on, an ear who will listen or a shoulder to cry on, Elizabeth is the person to come to. But if lies and hypocrisy taint your soul, don’t even bother looking her way because she holds no mercy for malice and treachery. Her main weaknesses are her stubbornness and her sometimes boundless care-freeness, and although she has near to infinite patience, she has little tolerance. Also, in Elizabeth’s case, passion tends to rule out reason more often than not. BiographyElizabeth grew up in the crown city of Amberdale in the far away land of Denwood. Daughter of Adrien Longstride, the commander of the King’s army, and Marian Winslet, the head-director of the royal library, she spent her whole life whether surrounded by soldiers who would teach her everything there is to know about all forms of combat and military tactics, whether with her nose stuck in books to learn about gazillion subjects such as history, politics, languages, medicine, botany, and much more. As the years went by, she began working at the Amberdale’s orphanage to take care of the children but quickly, her humanitarian work expanded to see to the well-being of any person in need, let it be the poor, the sick, the homeless, etc. However, merely two years after having found a job as a relief worker, Elizabeth’s life changed forever. A plague swept upon the land, hitting every city and village with deadly speed. More than half the population of the land of Denwood succumbed to the lethal illness, stealing the lives of the King and Queen in the process and leaving Elizabeth with hundreds of grieving and panicked citizens to take care of at work. Amberdale crumbled to ruins in a matter of weeks, with pyres of corpses at every corner of every street. Denwood became the land of the dead. The evil clutches of the plague eventually took the life of Elizabeth’s father, and shortly after, it took her mother’s, too. On her deathbed, the latter’s words to her loving daughter were “Run, Lizzy. Run as far as you can and never look back.” As the illness hadn’t, by some miracle, gotten to her yet, and with nothing but ruins holding her back in Amberdale, Elizabeth listened to her mother’s last words before it was too late. She ran. Traveling from places to places, heading wherever the road would take her, by foot or by sea, she offered her services to any who would have need of her in return for some food and money. Hence, on her destination-less journey, she worked on a ship as a sailor, in a tavern as a waitress and a cook, on a ranch as a drover, in a forge as a black-smith; she was a school teacher, a physician’s assistant, a librarian, a woods guide, and many more things, until eventually, her aimless wanderings across the lands and seas led her to the teeming city of Basra, where her life was about to change again… SkillsA hard worker and a fast-learner, Elizabeth can do pretty much everything and anything she is taught. Because of her years of study back in Amberdale and her years of travel while running away from the city, she has learned to do a lot of various and diversified things. She speaks many languages and although she knows how to use many different weapons to defend herself, she only fights when she has no other choice. Played by: Evangeline Lilly
