What kind of swords do they have?

I can see the swords, but I have no idea of the names of the different types of swords.  I've seen Sinbad's referred to as a scimitar a few times, but don't know if that refers to all curved blades (which several of them have, right?).  And are there subcategories that would more accurately describe the swords?  Is Maeve's a broadsword or a longsword (I can't recall if she used a two-handed or one-handed grip most often)?  Any sword aficionados here than can help me out?

Oh dear, I fear I'm of little use here. Though I know someone I could ask about Maeve's sword. On the matter of scimitar vs. sabre though: what I found online is that obviously they are quite alike in how they look, only sabres are what the Europeans made of the scimitars that they got to know via the Middle East (it seems they originally hail from Asia). If that's correct then both Sinbad's and Doubar's swords would be scimitars I guess.
