Haha I never really liked this episode but I think those "Sand People" from the episode "the Gaurdians" were just as bad as the tree people and the toilet paper from return of the ronin.

I agree, these villains were not much better, they reminded me of the appearances of aliens from some B movies a little.

They terrified me as a young child. I hated them...infact I usually still skip that scene all together if possible.

It was Vorgon from The Village vanishes, i clearly remember how i was scared for the first time when he exited from the body of Milasco. And its voice sounded quite scary as well. And i still think that this creature belonged to better made in this tv series (in terms of CGI).

Hah, I agree! And as for being scared: what freaked me out was "The Siren's Song" before it was revealed what happened there. Just, not knowing what was really going on and Fontassel who slowly but surely turns mad and madder... that was really creepy. >.>

I agree, this was quite a scary episode, one of the darkest from the first season, as you mentioned somewhere.

*raises arm, plays smart-ass* He didn't kiss anyone in Hell House (kissing his mother would have been ) and The Monster (kissing Uruk.... *shudders* naw, don't wanna go there >_> ). And am fairly sure that he didn't kiss Doubar either in Beast of Basra. ;D But indeed, there were only few eps where he didn't kiss anyone. *sigh* I was thinking about this and I realized that Sinbad was lucky that he started with this kissing after the events of the episode Heart and Soul. If he became the captain Casanova earlier, he would be sucked instead of the poor crewman Nectou in this episode and the whole show would end in the third episode of the second season. Or we would watch the adventures of the rest of the crew only.

I was thinking about something here and it seems to be quite strange to me. Bryn warned the good people in the room to look away from the book. It does not seem to me that she said it very loudly, which means that Doubar, Firouz and Rongar probably did not hear it. Should not she try to warn them? She knew that they are directly behind the door. The book was able to kill people behind the door as well; it was the luck that the boys did not die together with druids.
