I know I'm late to comment on this but ... Quoted from our really fantastic episode guide (two thumbs up for that, Kriss! ): I mean, not that the tree they had then was really threatening at all. And if the original was even worse ... *doesn't even want to imagine it* xD

Yes, mokujin is Japanese for "tree man."
moku - tree jin - man
Similar to: Nihonjin - Japanese people
Nihon - Japan jin - people

Oh God, AoS meeting LOTR, the Ent would be jealous ;D
Anyway, this was a funny and crazy episode. Sinbad looked like a mad man yelling like that against the...mokujins ;D, in the attempt to frighten them.
The first time I've watched it I couldn't believe to my eyes.

Well, since I had only read the LOTR when that ep came out, I was surprised with the mokujin as anyone could be. It just didn't seem to be right what with the image in my head about the Ents. Though, on the subject, I'd like to see what a she-Ent would look like?

Well, I for one found the whole scene to be pretty ridiculous. I mean, there they are standing, looking at that ... tree, thing, whatever, babbling something about being in danger and ... uh, that was so bad. xD

Why didn't Bryn or somebody just put it on fire? And don't tell me that only Maeve can make fire.

Uh, ya know Firouz, where would be the drama in that? I mean, where would all the tension go then? We would have missed that big daaaangerous tree chasing the crew, would have missed the fear in their gaze aand Sinbad's manly stand-alone, saving his crew with that great voice of his. Naah, fire would have been way to easy. *is being so totally sarcastic now* Uh, and why don't you ask Bryn? She's the sorceress in this group.

I know, it is a skill you learn. ;D Because I don't have time to flip-flop between each character. And Explorer sucks, like all Microsoft products. The only good Microsoft product I have seen was Microsoft Office 2003. Windows is crap compared to Mac OS. And you are 85% more likely to get a virus through Explorer the Firefox. Safari is only on Macs, because you can't run Mac software on Windows, but you can run Microsoft software on a Mac. Plus Explorer often crashes. But no, I (Bryn) didn't do that, because the producers just threw me a bone.
